June 4, 2008

Our month of May started out with Geremie, Mat and good friend Greg Adams going to a Dodge dealership in Pampa, Texas. The same weekend, Mark and Tim were in St. Louis at the NHRA drag races with a RAMINATOR on display. We were there on behalf of Rich Shaffer and Monster Truck Challenge. We will race at this venue in July.

We were then off to Richmond, IN to the "Wetzel Family Auto Cruise" Dodge dealership. We were there for 2 days, giving rides and doing some car crushing. Geremie had left Texas with a RAMINATOR and went to a farm show in Iowa. Tim took his seat and performed a couple of car crushes with brother Mark Hall. Tim and Mark both did a great job.

Lima, OH weekend was May 16-18 for the Jamboree series. Of course it was chilly and rainy, as always. The track that Greg Fuchs and his team laid out for our course was great. A lot of folks don't care for straight line racing, they think it is boring. Well this was a straight line track, but FAR from boring! It was long and very fast with a couple different car jumps and a dip in the middle. The racing was intense! Mark Hall and Geremie Dishman matched each other on how they did for the weekend. They each won twice, got one second and lost in the first round one time.
Overall, it was a successful weekend.

The following weekend, we made our annual Memorial weekend visit to Milford, PA to Milford Dodge. Mat drove the RAMINATOR ride truck, Mark and Geremie did two car crushes, Tim wrenched when needed and June ran the merchandise trailer. We always have a great time when we go there. If you live in this area, I highly advise that you talk to one of their salesman to find your next vehicle. They are the best group of guys and girls and they will make your car or truck buying experience a fun one. No stress involved!

Geremie and Mat left last Thursday for Grand Island, NE. After taking refuge inside a truck stop, three tornados came and went and left no damage for us. What a relief! They headed on to the Dodge dealership for a Friday display and a Saturday car crush.

Mark and Tim had their hands full this past weekend. Saturday morning they drove the ride truck into town with a police escort to the park that used to be thier "back yard". A committee had gotten together and decided to purchase more playground eqipment and had a "PACK THE PARK" day. You could give a donation to ride in the RAMINATOR. There were also live bands and plenty of food. Joan and Aunt Patty helped out too and they all hope they do it again next year!

After the park, Tim, Mark, June and June's mom & dad, Tom & Sue Benear drove to Macon, IL to the Macon Speedway. They have racing there every weekend and RAMINATOR was invited to come do a freestyle during intermission. They had a couple of cars for Mark to crush and boat! Mark did a great job and they even handed him the checkered flag to make a victory lap with.

And if all of that was not enough........Tim and Mark drove up to Belvidere, IL to an assembly plant. It was their family fun day and picnic and Mark performed a car crush right there on the grounds!

This weekend, Mat and Geremie will be heading to Georgia.
